On Thursday 13th April Bookstore Opstand will host a screening of the first episode of Trouble, a brand-new monthly show by subMedia.tv offering an in-depth anarchist analysis of the dynamics and forces shaping today’s movements. The screening will be at our bookstore at the Samenscholing, Beatrijsstraat 12 at 19:00. Every month, the new edition of Trouble will be screened at Opstand.

In this first episode of Trouble, called “Killing the Black Snake: Behind the Scenes of the #NoDAPL struggle”, subMedia.tv takes a close look inside the dynamics that played out behind the scenes at the Standing Rock encampment, including serious disagreements over which tactics to use to best stop the Dakota Access Pipeline (DAPL).

6-4-2017 Infoavond: Wat is er veranderd sinds de Wet Kraken en Leegstand?

Wil je gaan kraken maar kan je juridische kennis nog wat bijspijkeren? Heb je vragen over je rechten tijdens een kraakactie of andere acties? Kom dan op donderdag 6 april naar de infoavond over de Wet Kraken en Leegstand in anarchistische boekenwinkel Opstand in Den Haag!

Sinds de inwerkingtreding van de Wet Kraken en Leegstand is het kraken van leegstaande panden een stuk lastiger geworden. Door juridische procedures is het echter nog altijd mogelijk om voor langere tijd een gekraakt pand te behouden. Tijdens de interactieve lezing over de rechten van krakers wordt de juridische positie van krakers uit verschillende invalshoeken belicht door advocaten Marcel en Juanita en kunnen vragen worden gesteld.

Maar niet alleen kunnen er vragen worden gesteld over kraken. Heb je brandende (juridische) vragen over een bepaalde actie of je rechten in het algemeen? Stel ze aan Marcel en Juanita!

4th of March 2017: Opening Anarchist Bookshop ‘Opstand’!

After more than a year without a location the anarchist bookshop Opstand will open its doors again in a new location. The bookshop will open on Saturday the 4th of March at Beatrijsstraat 12 in The Hague.

After the eviction of the Autonomous Centre in the Willem van Outhoornstraat the bookshop lost her location. But there’s good news! ‘Opstand’ is opening its doors for three days a week starting in March.

Next to being a bookshop, ‘Opstand’ is also a place to come together, to have discussions and to walk in for the latest information on actions and for a cup of coffee or thee. Besides books about a range of political subjects you can also find magazines, stickers and pamphlets to distribute.

4 maart 2017: Opening anarchistisch boekenwinkel Opstand!

Na meer dan een jaar geen plek te hebben gehad opent vanaf maart anarchistische boekenwinkel Opstand weer haar deuren op een nieuw locatie. Op zaterdag 4 maart zal de opening plaatsvinden op de nieuwe locatie in de Samenscholing aan de Beatrijsstraat 12 in Den Haag.

Na de ontruiming van het Autonoom Centrum aan de Willem van Outhoornstraat had Opstand meer dan een jaar geen plek. Maar er is goed nieuws! Opstand opent vanaf maart drie dagen per week haar deuren in de Samenscholing.

De Haagse anarchistische boekenwinkel Opstand is naast een boekenwinkel ook een plek om samen te komen en te discussiëren. Ook kun je altijd binnenlopen voor de laatste informatie over acties en voor koffie of thee. Naast boeken over tal van politieke thema’s kun je bij Opstand ook terecht voor magazines, stickers, posters en pamfletten om die vervolgens weer te verspreiden in de stad.
