After more than a year without a location the anarchist bookshop Opstand will open its doors again in a new location. The bookshop will open on Saturday the 4th of March at Beatrijsstraat 12 in The Hague.
After the eviction of the Autonomous Centre in the Willem van Outhoornstraat the bookshop lost her location. But there’s good news! ‘Opstand’ is opening its doors for three days a week starting in March.
Next to being a bookshop, ‘Opstand’ is also a place to come together, to have discussions and to walk in for the latest information on actions and for a cup of coffee or thee. Besides books about a range of political subjects you can also find magazines, stickers and pamphlets to distribute.
With this new space we intend to create an area not only to provide books and materials but also to engage in talks with each other and to organize film/info evenings. This space is needed after so many other spaces disappeared in The Hague. We therefore hope that a space like this can boost non-parliamentary actions and struggles in The Hague and elsewhere.
The opening will be on Saturday the 4th of March 2017 at 15:00h and you’re all invited!
Starting the 4th of March ‘Opstand’ will be open every Tuesday from 15:00 till 19:00, Thursday from 15:00 till 21:00 and Friday from 15:00 till 19:00.
